Protect and recover your body's youth
I'll never forget that day I had difficulties breathing because I was walking. I didn't put high effort on anything prior that.
I was 29.
Not long after that (if not immediately) I realized it was because, at that point, I almost never did any sort of workout for like... 8 or 9 years? So the day after, I started doing some aerobics for about two weeks.
After that, I never had breathing issues like that again.
You don't have to focus on losing weight, gaining muscle, or even do workout almost everyday. Just make sure you do a good-enough effort without risking any injuries. And if you're starting after a long while like I did, you can just do less than what some people expect at a gym. Your body will improve in a few weeks.
Speaking of gym... I don't go to the gym, too expensive for me. I just have a couple of dumbbells and a bench in my room. I do my lifting after having spent money only once. I follow this guide (for the first few weeks I had to do half of those routines before my body became strong enough).
And also - and I haven't heard anyone talking about this: Working out eventually reduced the time I needed sleeping. I remember before my 30's I needed 8 hours to be good the next day. Now it's 7. And the workout itself takes less time than the time I saved from sleeping. Yeah, I'm gaining lifespan time by doing my workout.
So yeah, do try accomodating your time if you don't do workout. Maybe get into an activity that requires physical strenght at some point (if not immediately). My benefit is carrying heavy stuffs around at home when needed, hehe.
